Acordo EUA e Irão - Estratégia ou Traição?

Aparentemente, os EUA mudaram sua postura com Israel e fecharam um acordo com o Irão. Essa decisão promete o fim das lutas e a abertura do Estreito de Ormuz. Enquanto Washington chama a mudança de pragmatismo, Jerusalém fala em traição e Teerão comemora uma vitória.

Contudo, ainda não há vencedores reais. O regime dos aiatolás continua de pé. Israel não venceu a guerra e ficou isolado diante de um perigo que continua vivo, e por fim os EUA conseguem um acordo para salvar a face e algo mais.

Mas será que as coisas mudaram tanto assim da noite para o dia? Há motivos para acreditar que esse isolamento de Israel não é um erro e nem uma traição, mas sim uma escolha estratégica. Existe uma clara jogada política, económica e militar por trás disso.

1. Estratégia Política

O presidente Donald Trump não pode se reeleger, no entanto, precisa que seu partido vença as próximas eleições intercalares para manter a maioria no Congresso e o Senado. Do mesmo modo, em Israel Benjamin Netanyahu quer garantir a sua continuidade no poder. O isolamento pode unir o povo de Israel contra um inimigo comum. Diante de uma luta pela sobrevivência, Netanyahu pode voltar a ser visto pelos cidadãos como a única opção segura.

2. Estratégia Económica

O plano principal é evitar que a crise piore e cause um colapso financeiro a nível mundial. Reabrir as rotas de comércio ajuda a travar o aumento da inflação e do desemprego, protegendo a economia global e, principalmente, a estadunidense.

3. Estratégia Militar

Ao deixar Israel isolado, o governo e as IDF ganham espaço de manobra para se defender sem colocar os soldados dos EUA no meio do conflito e sem trazer complicações diplomáticas para Washington. Além disso, a situação serve como um teste. O mundo verá até onde o Irão está disposto a cumprir o acordo, ou até onde é capaz de ir para além de vingar-se, cumprir a sua promessa ideológica e escatológica destruição de Israel.

O Verdadeiro Desafio

Fazer uma guerra sem fim contra o Irão não trará resultados definitivos. O verdadeiro desafio agora é outro. O futuro da região depende de descobrir quem, dentro do próprio governo iraniano, está pronto para mudar o regime por dentro. Além disto tudo, a capacidade militar do Irão por hora está reduzida, o Hamas está destruido, o Hezbollá no Libano está isolado desde o acordo de Israel com o governo libanês, os houties no Iemen, foram atacados e estão enfraquecidos, não é uma vitória para Israel, mas com o enfraquecimento do Eixo da Resistência é um bom recomeço.

US-Iran Agreement - Strategy or Treason?

The Strategic Shift in the Middle East

Apparently, the US has shifted its stance toward Israel and struck a deal with Iran. This decision promises an end to the fighting and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. While Washington calls this move pragmatism, Jerusalem decries it as a betrayal, and Tehran celebrates a victory.

However, there are no real winners yet. The ayatollah regime remains standing. Israel did not win the war and finds itself isolated in the face of a danger that remains very much alive. Finally, the US secures a deal to save face and perhaps a bit more.

But have things really changed so drastically overnight? There is reason to believe that Israel's isolation is neither a mistake nor a betrayal, but rather a strategic choice. There is a clear political, economic, and military play behind it.

1. Political Strategy

President Donald Trump cannot run for reelection; however, he needs his party to win the upcoming midterm elections to maintain the majority in the House and the Senate. Similarly, in Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu wants to ensure his political survival. This isolation could unite the people of Israel against a common enemy. Faced with a fight for survival, Netanyahu could once again be seen by citizens as the only safe option.

2. Economic Strategy

The primary plan is to prevent the crisis from worsening and triggering a global financial collapse. Reopening trade routes helps curb rising inflation and unemployment, thereby protecting the global economy and, most importantly, the American economy.

3. Military Strategy

By leaving Israel isolated, the government and the IDF gain room to maneuver to defend themselves without putting US soldiers in the middle of the conflict and without bringing diplomatic complications to Washington. In addition, this situation serves as a test. The world will see how far Iran is willing to go to comply with the agreement, or how far it is capable of going beyond seeking revenge to fulfill its ideological and eschatological promise of destroying Israel.

The Real Challenge

Waging an endless war against Iran will not yield definitive results. The real challenge now lies elsewhere. The future of the region depends on identifying who, within the Iranian government itself, is ready to change the regime from within.

On top of all this, Iran's military capacity is currently reduced, Hamas is destroyed, Hezbollah in Lebanon is isolated following Israel's agreement with the Lebanese government, and the Houthis in Yemen have been attacked and weakened. While this is not an outright victory for Israel, the weakening of the Axis of Resistance offers a solid fresh start.
